Hi. This is your pathologist doing noob game development. I have officially started my devlog progress for my two future FPS horror games with a good FPS feel and resident evil inventory, set in two different setting. I refrain from using a true FPS setup as the head bobbing is a bit distracting to me and to some quite nauseating. I prefer a separate FP arms (upperbody) blended to a full body mesh (lower body). This way I can control the shake (mild on running and jumping, heavy on sprinting) and have the ability to greatly reduce or remove it for specific users. These are running on tick and some like the leaning I placed a condition that it will only run when the lean buttons are clicked.
I will start showing what I have integrated to the project most of which are procedural. Below are the tutorials I have followed, some of which I have tweaked in order to fit in my project. Suggestions are welcomed, please be kind to me. hehe

UE4 tutorial: FPS weapon sway and left hand IK tutorial
• UE4 tutorial: FPS weapon sway and left han...
An easy method of adding weapon sway and aim offset using transform (modify) bones. It adds a left hand IK to customize the location per weapon. This IK is disabled in certain animations like reload. The sway and aiming is smooth and the interpolation can be adjusted. I prefer this method since I do not need tackling virtual or specific IK bones.
Unreal Engine 4 - Leaning Tutorial
• Unreal Engine 4 - Leaning Tutorial (1/2)
This is the best leaning tutorial for me. The logic blends the actions seamlessly and there are no timelines involved. Using timelines causes some weird glitches when spamming the buttons for leaning. You can mix this with the tutorial above to drive some additional movement.

You can either use an animation or procedural transform to react to any block. I actually used two methods with certain threshold on what method to be used.
