Please Join Us this Sunday for WaveTalkers LIVE: Episode 115
This week the WaveTalkers crew asks the question of Are YOU PREPARED? Earlier this week, Southern California experienced a series of Earthquakes. We all submitted our DYFI reports but many of us found that our stations were not optimized for sending emergency traffic when time was of the essence.
Our team got together to practice sending a winlink message in the field from our Emergency Communications stations. Join us for this exciting episode where we walk through examples of what worked and then talk about some of the challenges we each faced with our portable stations.
As a challenge to all of you, before our show tomorrow, please set up an emergency station, and send in your Winlink Checkin to us. Please use some form of RF, and refrain from using a station that is already set up in your home, using the internet, or using commercial power. In the Comments section let us know your current working conditions.
We will highlight all checkins that arrive prior to show time for special recognition during out show.
We will wrap up Episode 115 with an after party for all of those joining us in the Zoom. We would love to hear about your experience completing the WaveTalkers Challenge.
