Cassandra, Kwame, Lisanne, and Jennifer share what being part of the Black Employee Connection (BEC) means to them, and why they joined the core team. Cassandra also shares what inspired her to found the BEC at Zalando, and the journey from founding the BEC to becoming the community that it is today.
In this series highlighting the Black Employee Connection, Cassandra, Kwame, Lisanne, and Jennifer also share the support that the BEC provides to Black employees, their thoughts on Black History Month, and how they feel about role modelling.
The BEC share their purpose to “provide a safe space for Black employees to celebrate and empower Zalando’s Black community through the amplification of Black voices, the advancement of Black excellence, and by driving inclusion and sustainable change within Zalando.” Through this campaign, we aim to support the BEC in their purpose.
