Halo 5 is a game that came out in 2015, and when it came out, let's just say the support was very lacking. People were not happy with the Halo they got, and still to this day, people continue to complain about 2015's Halo 5, and for good reason too. Halo 5 was bad when it came to nearly everything, but one thing that stood out to many fans of the Halo series was that the characters in Halo 5 were also not very good. With The Master Chief ending up being made fun of by fans because of his lack of any cool moments and overall large amount of dumb moments in the game's story. This was also no different for Cortana, who similarly to the Master Chief, had her character ruined, except her character really was ruined, like really bad.
However, one thing that was not bad for Halo 5, at least in my opinion, was the marketing, which I thought anyway was quite strong for Halo 5. So why and how was the marketing and trailers good for the game but not the game itself? Well, maybe because the trailer told a completely different story to the one the game tried to tell the players. Or maybe because the marketing looked like it was almost for a different game. But if one thing was for sure, it was that the Halo 5 shown to us in the marketing was not the same Halo 5 shown to us in the game we were given.
In this video, I plan to go into great detail on why The Master Chief's character is far worse in Halo 5 than in any other Halo game. I will also talk about why Cortana's character was permanently ruined from Halo 5's story and why making Cortana the villain was such a bad idea for Halo 5's main story. I will also talk about why Halo 5 is a bad game, and I will also be going over some of the many issues Halo 5 has, not only in the game's characters but also in the game's mainline story as well. I will be talking about Halo 5's great trailers and how the Halo 5 given to us and the Halo 5 we saw in the trailers were almost two completely different games. I will talk about many issues the game has and I will be addressing how many of the main issues both Chief and Cortana's characters had in the game's story and writing. This video will go into great detail on how 343 Industries forever damaged the Halo name and title, as well as how Halo lost so much of its popularity from Halo 5. I will also be talking about whether or not both Chief and Cortana's characters were completely destroyed or whether after Halo 5 there was still any hope for their characters yet.
