Timing belt in your car engine can last about 60,000 miles, according to the majority of car manufacturers and experts. But there are factors that affect the longevity of the belt. Also, there is a new type of timing belts called wet belts or belt-in-oil systems. They usually last longer but still may bring more problems to the engine.
