Marble Canyon, Glen Canyon Dam and Grand Canyon North Rim
Before the Colorado River flows through the Grand Canyon it flows through the Glen Canyon where the Glen Canyon Dam forms Lake Powell. This slows the river flow and collects most of the sediments. From here the reduced water flow travels through the Marble Canyon before joining with the Little Colorado River. It now turns west to flow through the Grand Canyon.
