How to Diagnose a Bad TXV for an Air Conditioner!
On this service call the customer complained that the air conditioner would blow air and just not cool. Upon diagnosing the air conditioner I found that the indoor TXV or thermostatic expansion valve at the evaporator coil had shut down and was starving the evaporator of freon. We put in an order for a new TXV.
