Quick follow-up to my early spring compost check video where I check the temperatures of the two "full" compost piles. They're fairly identical except I added kitchen scraps to one all winter (the one on the left) and the other is older (the one on the right). It goes to show the importance of adding nitrogen (kitchen scraps) all winter to your compost piles. If you do, they perk right up in the spring.
