This video is for anyone who feels unwelcome in their home state and is considering moving to another state. I'm thinking
LGBTQ+ folks in states that pass bathroom bills, drag show restrictions, etc.
Women in states that pass strict anti-abortion laws, anti-contraception laws, etc.
Jews facing anti-Semitism, Muslims facing Islamophobia, and other groups some folks take their hatred out on
Nonbelievers in states where that actively work to tear down the wall between church and state
Anyone else who feels marginalized, or worse, targeted in their home state
I was in a similar boat being someone who felt out of place and at times even unwelcome in my home state of Alabama, so I left it for a more more personally desirable location. In this video, I share what I've seen work and what doesn't when it comes to moving to a new state in the hopes that it helps anyone who is seriously considering leaving their home state and is looking for advice.
Below is one crime website suggested in the video, though there are many others. Google "crime rates per city" or "crime statistics per state" or the like and perhaps you can find one you like better. Also, the stats I cited in the video were probably from another website. I looked at a few before making this video. My guess is each site measures what counts as "violent crime" differently, but I'm still in the same ballpark and still stand by my opinion on the matter.

Lastly, my apologies if you find you find this video offensive in any way. That's not my intent. That said, I will remove any unhelpful comments since I want the comment section to be useful to others. Feel free to leave a helpful comment for those thinking of leaving their home state. Thanks!
