Hatch Day. This was an exciting day! It just happens to be our luck that one of our wonderful neighbors is a professional when it comes to hatching birds as it used to be his thing. He would breed, hatch, and sell very expensive birds so he had to know what he was doing. All but one little hatchling had already hatched by the time we finished breakfast but we jumped into the golfcart as soon as we could and rushed right down. We are kinda able to witness a hatch when a little hatchling was struggling and needed a little bit of help. We have affectionately named this wonderful neighbor the "Bird whisperer". I was very pleased with the assortment of keets that we ended up getting. We ended up with white keets, lavender keets, pearl grey keets, pied or splash keets, royal lavender, and we even got a coral blue keet! Can't wait to see how they enjoy the farm. For now we have them in a warm and toasty brooder so they can grow nice and strong. It was so much fun hatching our very own guineas eggs (with our neighbors help) Thanks for watching and I hope this new blesses you as much as it blessed us!
