This video will show you how to use the find and replace feature in Excel.
Here we have an Excel file imported from a different source.
We want to remove the Q at the start of each sentence.
This can be easily done in Excel.
If you're in the File Menu, click the back button and go to the Home menu.
In the Home menu, go to the Find and Select option towards the top right.
On the drop-down menu, select Replace.
Alternatively, you can type Control H.
Under Find What enter the word or character you want to replace.
In our case we'll enter Q and we want to replace it a blank space.
So, we leave the Replace with field blank.
Then you can replace manually or automatically.
For the manual option, click on Find next.
Then hit replace.
Since we want to remove the Q at the start of each sentence,we will select Replace All.
We can now see that Q has been removed in all the sentences.
Now, go ahead and try the steps above to find and replace text or numbers in Excel.
