Jesus assured His disciples that His departure to the Father was for their benefit. His departure made way for the Holy Spirit to dwell within them. He instructed His followers to remain in Jerusalem and wait until they were empowered to boldly testify about His resurrection. Once filled with the Holy Spirit, the disciples were transformed, speaking and acting with newfound courage and conviction. Without the Holy Spirit, our lives lack depth and strength. However, through faith, we are filled with divine power to fulfill God’s calling in our lives.
