Watch This Before Installing an LED Panel Light! (Bracket & Anchor Tips)
Tired of those old, buzzing fluorescent lights? Today, I’m unboxing and installing a 4000 Lumen Dimmable LED Ceiling Panel Light in a closet. This is a great modern upgrade, but the installation can be a bit of a workout! I’ll show you my favorite drywall anchors and how to handle the tricky bracket sliding mechanism.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT: Removing old "school-style" fluorescent lights (06:03) and replacing them with LED panels makes a huge difference in brightness and energy efficiency. I used self-drilling plastic anchors (03:23) because they provide a much more secure hold in drywall than the cheap ones that usually come in the box.
THE REALITY OF DIY: As you can see at (20:40), sliding these panels onto the bracket can be a bit tricky if you're working alone. It takes some patience and "tinkering" to get it to click, but the results are worth the effort!
