Prayer is not a spell
Prayer is not some kind of spell. Often you hear: "Master, what prayer is best to read?" But it is not the verbal formula that is important to God! It is important to God when you say a prayer as a conversation with Him. You talk to Him from the heart, as if you are sending a prayerful stream of conversation to God. But you can read any words, even the most sublime, the purest, with a cold heart, but about such words and such a prayer David the psalmist said: "My prayer will return to my bosom" (Psalm 34:13).
