Is Bo-Katan The Heroine Or Villain In The Mandalorian?
The Mandalorian has been building to the Living Waters of Mandalore scene for quite some time. While Din Djarin is taking steps for his atonement, Bo-Katan Kryze’s involvement makes it all the more interesting. The ownership of the Darksaber is being questioned by many since the droid-insect creature took it from Din and Bo-Katan then defeated it. But in my opinion, since ownership didn’t transfer through combat, the creature never controlled the Darksaber. It’s still unclear how things will turn out, especially with the introduction of the mythosaur later in the episode, adding another legend on the path to ruling Mandalore.

Din was taught by the Armorer about an ancient prophecy that the mythosaur’s return will herald a new era for Mandalore. And now that the legend appears to be true, Bo-Katan is the only one who knows of the beast’s existence. Although she doesn’t put any faith in the ancient legends and traditions of her people, she seems to begin to believe in the ritual as she watches Din step into the waters in faith. And when she sees the mythosaur with her own eyes, even though she is still wearing her helmet, you can tell the shock and maybe even the dawn of belief are expressed on her face. It’s still uncertain whether Bo-Katan will use this to reclaim the throne for herself or support Din and Grogu in uniting their scattered people.
