From 9/17/1906, the Victor Dance Orch. with "Russian Kossack," described as a "Jewish dance." An amazingly lively performance--and, for more than half its length, its strains sound like polka melodies! The music on this 117-year-old 78 would have been at home on a 1974 Lawrence Welk broadcast in terms of both feel and tempo. I love it!
