"Congradulations class of 2011! You did it!!" And everyone threw up their caps into the sky. Demi was smiling, she was happy that high school was finally over, but then from a distance, she saw Nick. They were staring at eachother. He slowly came up to her and hugged her
"I'm going to miss you Demi" He whispered into her ear
She hugged him back tightly "I'm going to miss you too"
"I'm proud of you" He said as he let go of her
She was about to respond but then Miley interrupted her
"Demi we did it! We finally graduated"
She smiled. She then turned back around to find out that Nick was gone "Where did he go?" She asked quitely to herself

She was finally going to Harvard. She's been trying to get a hold of Nick, but he never picked up his phone
"Demi, what are you doing?" Miley asked her
"I'm trying to call Nick" She said
"I thought you were going to stop worrying about him? He's the one that broke off your friendship"
"I know, but I don't want to leave without saying goodbye"
"Demi, you have to catch a plane in less than an hour" She told her
"You know your right, I have to stop thinking about him. I just have to get one more box and then we can leave" And Demi went back inside her house
Miley quickly took out her phone and dialed Nick's number
"Hello" He said into the phone
"Nick, where the hell are you. Demi's going to leave in a little bit and your still not here"
"Miley, I can't do it. I can't say goodbye"
"So your just going to let her go. Nick your such an as-"
Demi came back "Miley I'm ready"
"Okay" She said. She then hung up her phone "Nick's an asshole" She said whispering to herself
Nick hung up his phone and sat on the edge of his bed. He was confused in his thoughts "What I'm I going to do?" He asked himself in frustration. He quickly got his shoes on and grabbed his car keys "I'm not letting her leave like this" He told himself. He drove all the way towards the airport. When he finally got there he parked his car and quickly ran inside of the airport. When he got inside he was searching all over for her, and then he finally spotted her. He ran up towards her "Demi" He yelled out
She turned around at the sound of her name "Nick, what are you doing here?" She asked him
"Demi, I have to tell you something" He said
"Okay" She was a little bit confused
"Demi, the reason why I was so mad wasn't because you broke our promise. It was because you were leaving"
"I don't understand" She said
"Demi, when I first heard about you getting accepted into Harvard I was happy for you, but then I started realizing that you were going to have to leave and that killed me. Not seeing everyday was going to be brutal"
"I still don't think I understand what you're trying to say"
He smiled and then kissed her, Demi was shocked but at the same time it felt right. He pulled away and smiled "That's what I'm trying to say. Demi I'm in love with you and I didn't want to lose you, but I then realized that I won't ever lose you because your my best friend and you mean so much to me. I love you Demi"
She smiled "I love you too"
He hugged her one more time "Now you have a plane to catch and when you come back, I'll be here"
She nodded head and pecked him one more time before leaving
Nick watched her walk away and smiled. This was a new begining for them
"Now was that so hard?" Miley asked Nick
Nick smiled and rolled his eyes "I love you Demi" He said one more time as he watched her walk away
