"What the fuck is this voodoo?"
Although Monroe and the others could only hear Benedictus they were taken aback when Benedictus and Cyganie laughed--to them she was silent. Benedictus said, "Think Star Wars hologram only she can see and hear you or think "ghost". You can holster your weapons, by the way. I'll explain more later, but right now you'll just have to trust me when I say she is on our side."
"She looks like a weird shaman but hot."
Benedictus looked disgruntled and grunted saying, "Not always, unfortunately" and as soon as he said it she turned into the oldest, ugliest crone he had ever seen. The others looked aghast, Benedictus burst out laughing and although they could not hear her, he heard her cackling to her own visual joke transformation. However, Monk quickly composed himself and turned to address her. "Enough, why are you here?"...

He could already see what he believed to be patterned electrode arrays but Damont was still scanning and expanding the map as he was doing so. He told Monroe this may take a few minutes even for Damont, but that this could very well hand them the keys to victory AND escape. Monroe and the others had a serious, stern, resolute look on their faces and nodded quickly in acknowledgement. Benedictus saw a little nervousness from Monroe with visible twitching but it was not fear--it was heightened anticipation.
