OceanGate Titan - CRACKLING SOUNDS EXPLAINED?
UPDATE 9/18/2024: I had taken the OceanGate video series down because too much was based on the "leaked transcript", which I was never fully convinced was legitimate, and now that the hearings by the US Coast Guard and NTSB has began, it appears to now be proven a fake after viewing a 3D animation with the actual text communications. I am bringing some of these videos back by request.
Regardless of the transcript, the concepts presented here are a mechanism by which the hull could have failed.

In this video I present what I believe to be an explanation for the odd interjection of the crackling sound mentioned in the transcript (now confirmed to not be legitimate).
One clarification I'd like to make: In the video I mention five one inch increments. The hull was actually composed of 667 layers, but there are also what appears to be 4 separations at one inch intervals. This may be have been some axial fibers inserted at those intervals. Your guess is as good as mine. Per the aforementioned hearings, it was apparently cured after every inch or so of windings.
