Amouranth went live last night to talk about the strange and disturbing events that unfolded in the livestream where she exposed her husbands abusive behaviour.
During this update stream, Amouranth decides to keep the chat on emote mode, because she doesn’t want to get distracted while she addresses everything. But she does thank everyone who reached out with concern
That’s actually a common, and really sad thing that victims go through. They feel isolated and alone and fear reaching out or talking to anyone because of the worry that no one will believe them or care.
Apparently, this incident was the first time that Amouranth’s husband ever heard himself on a recording acting like this. She says that she has in fact recorded him before, and other times tried to, but this is the first time he’s heard himself be this way.
Amouranth mentions that her husband is not there, that he is getting help. Now, I don’t want to jump to any conclusions of any kind, especially before we get through the whole video of her addressing this, but a massive concern is of course, what happens now.
Typically, abusers LOVE to keep everything behind closed doors, obviously. And when exposed like this, or on any level, they tend to backtrack and promise change and anger management etc.
I really don’t want to put anything out there that is not true or can be taken as offensive, so I’ll avoid speaking in any absolutes or making blanket statements.
It is, however, fairly typical for an abuser to apologize, promise change, attend some therapy and continue for a while, within the relationship, at a steady pace. And then, often times, but not always, a “relapse” happens, for lack of better words.

I THINK it goes without saying that we ALL want the best for Amouranth in this situation, and if we don’t believe in change within abusers on some level, it truly is a very nasty world. And what I mean by that is, while it is easy for us to sit on the outside and say “leave him. Run. get a restraining order.” for Amouranth INSIDE of this relationship, things won’t be as cut and dry.
And many of you with experience in these sorts of relationships will understand that.
No one willingly gets into an abusive relationship. You are somewhat bated with nice dates, loving treatment, affection and the feeling that everything is perfect. But then the abusive behaviour creeps up and then increases more and more until it because the regular thing.
It’s called “creeping normality”, and you almost don’t know it’s happening until it’s “too late”, again for lack of better words.
And the initial behaviours in these types of relationships is called “love bombing”, which I’m sure many of you are also familiar with,
Amouranth says that while the support has been overwhelming and she is grateful, there has also been a number of people who are using HER situation for personal gain and clout.
And I’d like to note hear, that I hope we don’t give off that energy when we cover stories like this!
Our goal when talking about things like this, and specifically Amouranth’s story, is to platform HER. Not her husband. And to hopefully touch someone else out there who might be dealing with something similar and show that they are NOT alone, and you CAN get through this.
We also aim to show people the importance of understanding that influencers are people AND we attempt to call out the bullshit takes…
But of course, while the internet exists, there will always be the percentage that use things for selfish reasons and disregard the feelings of anyone else.
Maybe his intentions were different, again I don’t want to speak in absolutes, and again this MIGHT NOT be the same guy as she does not name him, But im like…98% sure it’s who she’s talking about.
