View Shapefile attribute tables with Excel. ArcGIS Explorer Desktop, or QGIS
In this Photoshop tutorial I will show you how to view Attribute Tables for GIS Shapefiles using Microsoft Excel, ArcGIS Explorer Desktop, and the QGIS program. If you are styling maps using Shapefiles you need a way to find and identify map features. The information inside the Shapefiles can be accessed, viewed, sorted and searched by using Attribute tables.
I made this tutorial to help followers of my Photoshop Map Art tutorial series, as a reference to assist them in making Map Art of their hometowns.
