In this Photoshop tutorial I will show you how to use the Photoshop CC Face Tool in the Liquify Filter to improve photos you may never use because some people in the photograph are not smiling. With this method you can make those photos better by turning those faces into smiling faces.

Have you ever taken a family picture at a holiday or gathering and had a problem getting everyone, especially children to smile for the picture? You may end up retaking a lot of pictures, but there always seems to be one person or more that is not smiling.
I recently was asked to fix a family picture in Photoshop. When I was done I was jokingly told, "that's great but it would be nice if some people were smiling".
I was aware of the facial adjustment features in Photoshops Liquid filter, so I decided to add a smile to those in the picture who needed it. I was surprised at how easy it was to get them to smile. No artistic ability but Only a basic knowledge of Photoshop is required to do it. It's really simple.
I got to thinking of all the photos of families, babies, children, holiday gatherings, weddings, graduations, family reunions etc where one or more people were not smiling, these people could be easily smile enhanced to improve the photo. So I tested it out in this video tutorial.

If you have at least version 2015.5 Photoshop Creative Cloud you can easily enhance the smiles of people in your photographs. If you are a photographer, and you have Photoshop Lightroom Creative Cloud, you are currently eligible for free Photoshop CC. If you have a friend that has Photoshop, ask them to help you. If they are not familiar with the face aware features of the liquify filter, show them this video. Next I will show some examples of how to enhance smiles in Photoshop.
