3 Easy Spring Tea Towel Ideas using a Cricut | Home DIY
Daisy Towel
I download my template design from Canva as a PNG. I upload it to Cricut Design Space and resize the daisy to about an inch, then I measure my tea towel and create a to scale size of it on Cricut Design Space. This tea towel was about 7x14inches.I then duplicate the daisy to roughly see how many I will need for this project. I deleted all the flowers but one and I will add the quantity needed in a later step. Using the shape tool, I create the circle for the center of the flower. I changed the colors to see how it would look but then changed them both back to black so they can be cut on the same mat. I make sure those are the only two items selected and click make it. I then change the quantity to 20 and began to move the shapes to fit my scrap pieces of iron-on material. I don't bother mirroring the image as it won’t matter for this design. After I am done, I hit continue and select the everyday iron-on material in more pressure. I let my Cricut do the work, making sure my vinyl is shiny side down. Once that is done I weed out all my vinyl and warm up my easy press. I start placing the flowers where I would like them to go then start using my easy press at 350 degrees for 30 seconds all the way across the towel. I waited until the vinyl was cool to touch to remove the transfer tape. Then I placed all the flower centers on each flower. This time, I needed to use a cloth to prevent the press from melting the uncovered flowers. I again let that cool and removed the transfer tape revealing this beautiful spring design that I absolutely love
Monogrammed towel
I started out importing my template into Cricut Design Space and resized it to be proportionate to the towel size I had downloaded mine with the text from Canva but you could also add it in in design space . Then I clicked make it and mirrored my image and clicked continue. Then I selected the everyday iron-on vinyl and the more pressure button. I let my Cricut do its thing, making sure the vinyl was placed shiny side down. Then I weeded my vinyl. After that, I placed the vinyl on the towel trying to center it in the middle but adjusted towards the bottom of the towel. I used my easy press at 350 for 30 seconds and removed the transfer tape.

Then I weeded my vinyl, I quickly noticed that I had made my text too thin and decided to go with out it. I made the text bolder in the template so that it wouldn't be an issue for others when they went to weed. This design is very tedious to weed so make sure you are not making it too small or it will be impossible. Also, with this detailed design you will need to use a high quality vinyl so that it doesn’t take too long to weed. I used Cricut brand for this whole video.
