"Ello again!" He says, giving me a hug over the glass counter.
"Hiya! Another cupcake?" I say, already reaching inside the glass.
"Absolutely!" He smiles as I hand him the cupcakes.
"Listen, I'd love to stay and chat, but I must get back to work. Maybe we could, uh, meet up later?"
He nods his head, finishing the bite he took. "I'd love to. Just call me." He says, winking.
I go back in the kitchen.
"Really, Jacie? Fucking really?"
"What..?"
"I told you to stay away from him and now you're going on a date with him?! What the hell?!"
"For one, we're just friends! And two, when the hell did you become my dad?!"
"Listen Jacie, I don't want you to get hurt. I already told you that. It's just-"
"Just what?" I spit at him.
"Nothing. Nevermind."
"I'm sorry, Haz. I know you're trying to keep me from getting my heart broke. But I'm still going."
He just looked at me, still angry, then turned away quickly.
We finished making the cake itself in silence other than the radio.
I must admit, this was the first time me and Harry have had an awkward moment.
And I hated it.
