Beside The White Fence (Chapter Eight) - A One Direction Love Story ♥
I woke up to my dad kissing my cheek softly. "Goodbye sweetheart. I love you so much." He whispers in my ear. I wrap my arms around his neck and hug him tight.
"When will I see you again, dad?"
"I don't know, kiddo, but I wish I did."
"I love you.."
"I love you too, Jacie. And I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too. Goodbye for now, daddy." I mumble, fighting back my tears.
And with that he pulled away and walked from the living room where I had fallen asleep. But before he left, he turned away and waved.
He did our secret sign we made up when I was younger.
He puts one finger over the other, making a cross. Then, he turns it to look like an 'x'.
It stands for this:
When we (cross) paths again, we'll have to go to the (X) Palace.
This was an ice cream parlor when I was younger, and it's still around. I always loved going there with him, so that was our secret code.
I do the same with my still-weak-from-waking-up fingers. He smiles at me, and then he's off.
For God only knows how long.
