Bolt Thrower - "Those Once Loyal" (Guitar Cover)
Another day inside the trenches of the "One Take War"... Just kidding.
I just wanted to take a little break from all the frantic soloing, and decided to do a quick track with some good old crushing rhythm guitars, and here's the almighty oldschool british Death Metal warmachine at it's finest... Bolt Thrower!!!
There's four different tracks recorded, and recording them in just one take seems kind of an stupid idea for quad tracking, yet somehow they still worked (yay!). I still did some "cheating" with the tuning: I just raised a whole step the lowest 3 strings (you will only need those!) in this seven string guitar, to match the original C# standard tuning withouth having to detune the whole guitar... It saved me from having to retune and adjust the whole guitar, but I think there's some intonation issues that kept bothering me a bit... I hope it's just my ear, sorry if you can hear those, too.
I still miss this band. A lot. Enjoy!!
