The former AT&SF mainline stretches from Chicago to Los Angeles. Today, part of the BNSF, it is referred to as the Southern Transcon. It has become one of the busiest mainline routes in the United States. In this video we railfan a section of the Chillicothe Sub. from Chillicothe to Galesburg, Illinois. In doing we see trains pass through the small farming towns of central Illinois. Trains on this line really move along as you'll see. It can also be very windy in this part of Illinois.
