A cinema production workspace doesn’t usually feel designed, but this 5400 sq.ft office in Bengaluru designed by Greige Studio changes that equation through spatial logic shaped around film production rhythms.
Inside this workspace for KRG Studio and AppleBox Studio, the challenge wasn’t decoration, it was coordination. A single floor had to hold nine distinct rooms, a curved edge condition, and a workflow that moves between private editing, collaborative review, and high-profile client interactions without visual or functional conflict.
Instead of treating it as a linear office layout, Greige Studio structured the space around movement patterns. The curved workstation becomes the central distributor, not a feature object, but a navigation spine that reduces friction between rooms. Every key function radiates from this point, so the workspace behaves like a continuous production circuit rather than isolated departments.
The reception and lounge are deliberately softened to absorb visitors arriving from a high-profile creative context, while the working zones are kept open enough to allow cross-team visibility without visual overload. Meeting rooms are positioned as controlled interruptions — close enough to the core workflow, but acoustically and visually separated so editing and review can run in parallel.
The constraint of the cone-edged floor plan becomes the defining driver of the design logic. Instead of forcing symmetry, the geometry is accepted and translated into circulation flow, allowing the irregular edge to guide rather than restrict spatial movement. This is where the design shifts from “fitting rooms into a plan” to “letting the plan dictate behavior.”
