530km SPORADIC E shortskip! (FM DX)
530 kilometers FM DX. This is the shortest I ever received via Sporadic E. Yes, you read it correct: SHORTEST. Sporadic E is not only about how far can you go... Typically SpE allows FM DX within 1100 and 2200 kilometers, but when the propagation gets really intense, shortships can happen. At this rare occasion sskip went down to 530km - my tropo-zone distance!

Interesting fact about the received station:
EURORADIO (European Radio for Belarus, Еўрапейскае Радыё для Беларусі) is Polish & EU joint venture clandestine radio station targeted to Belorussian audience, providing news, talk & music unbiased by BLR authorities. FM (OIRT) transmitter in Visaginas Lithuania, near LTU/BLR borders and the beams are aimed into BLR. It was one of the last OIRT-band transmitter kept on air in Lithuania, although didn't serve Lithuanians, but Belarussians. It is off the air now.
Of course, I got even more distant SpE FMDX. My farthest single-hop Sporadic E was PALESTINE, at 2550km:
