Advanced Policy Surveillance Training, Part 5 - Quality Control, Publication, and Updating Datasets
This webinar will introduce best practices and recommended quality control procedures, including methods for redundant coding and research as well as statistical quality control, and discuss publication options and the variety of ways a dataset may be used in research and practice. This series of advanced training will be concluded with a review of the process for tracking changes and updating a dataset, including the process for converting a cross-sectional dataset to a longitudinal dataset that tracks laws and policies over time.
Learning objectives:
Introduce different levels of quality control procedures and their appropriate use, including redundant coding and statistical quality control
Introduce options for publishing and using policy surveillance data
Understand the steps involved in tracking and updating the law
Review the process for creating a longitudinal dataset
