"I’m Joann Walker and I’ve been in NC for 22 years now. I had a hysterectomy, I had had a prior procedure the year before called an ablation and it was not successful for me. I was in a lot of pain—I felt like hysterectomy was the best option for me.
The facilities at Onslow are great. The surgical suite that I was in, it’s brand new, it’s state of the art. The rooms were very clean. I don’t know much about the OR itself other than I saw it when I was going in, but I felt like that whole area, like I said, it’s only a few years old, and it’s super clean and I loved it.
Some positive things I found at that hospital were the staff. They were very friendly, very attentive, very caring, they were very proactive. My experience was that I didn’t really have to ask for a lot because they were already ahead of the game. So I just felt super comfortable. And I felt like I received the best care possible, so it was a great experience for me."
