Broken Thumb // Pick-up Hockey // September 26, 2020
I broke my thumb about 15 minutes into this 90 minute skate on a seemingly harmless shot that just caught me with my glove at an awkward angle. I couldn't close my glove and you can see multiple instances where I wasn't able to hang onto pucks off the glove. Another couple of shots later on that I totally bailed out on, as well.
I have a cast on for three weeks, and then I'll be in a brace that I can remove to shower for three weeks after that. Hopefully I'm back on the ice in mid-late November.
