The spirit of the forest (Shurale) tries to lure the Bird-Girl (Syuimbike) into the very depths of the forest, but the brave hero Ali-Batyr, her fiancé, bravely confronts the kingdom of goblin and witches and frees his bride. A screen version of the Tatar ballet "Shurule" by Farid Yarullin based on the poem of the same name by Gabdulla Tukay.
The film uses the poems of Tatar poets: Gabdulla Tukay, Musa Jalil, Nabi Davli, Akhmed Faizi, Akhmed Yerikeyev.
