Game Maker Studio 2 | Character Recognition Test v1
It recognises various characters! Some of the alphabet, some symbols and some Chinese characters. OBS was lagging the program a far bit. Hopefully v2 can recognise words and be more optimised.
The program converts the drawn symbol to a bitmap image, then to a 2D array before comparing each pixel to the reference arrays and finds the closest matching one. The best score a comparison can get is 0 (aka no difference between the two images).
