2015 MOMA Arcade Auction in Bloomington Minnesota
Yearly auction that has been of arcade and amusement equipment. Collectors, small operators, and public come to purchase working and some mostly working machines. To some people like myself this is more than just an auction but a yearly get together social event to hang out with fellow collector friends and to meet new people to the hobby. This year was a shocker and dampener when they decided to post the auction online. That killed the social fun of this event. Some people decided not to attend this years preview of the equipment. Due to the online bidding. I'm guessing there will be some disappointed people on pick up day if they did not attend the preview day. Descriptions for each item was not very descriptive as to working or not or partially working. I'm thinking most people over paid for items due to this nature. Over most years of going to this event. Most machines were in good working order. This year seems to show they are getting desperate to supply the auction with quality merchandise and just tossing there old crap projects to the public. I honestly hope that MOMA will realize some changes are not for the best. And to go back to the traditional ways of selling machines at this well known event. Guess we will see next year.
