Surviving Voices: Karla Parra
From a very young age, Karla Parra learned that speaking out was dangerous. Her story of sexual violence began at an early age, at the hands of a family member. The silence, imposed out of fear and guilt, was part of her life for years.
Today, Karla has decided to speak out. She is the co-founder of Karla's Sembradoras de Amor, an organization that supports women survivors in their process of emotional healing and empowerment, offering tools to transform pain into strength.
Her story is part of the #VocesSobrevivientes campaign, a series of seven testimonies that shed light on child sexual violence and give a voice to those who for too long were unable to speak.
