Although the first time we ever heard the word “Sith” on screen was in The Phantom Menace, it was actually included in the early drafts of A New Hope all the way back in 1975. The term even appeared in the Star Wars novelization released in 1976, referring to Darth Vader as a Dark Lord of the Sith. But did you know it was said in an extended scene in A New Hope? General Tagge said it in the Death Star conference room.
