STUDENTS ATTACKING TEACHERS | Flagler High School Case | Teacher Vlog
As I'm sure most of you are aware, a case against a Florida teen who brutally beat a teacher's aide in early 2023 is coming to a close. The high school student awaits sentencing scheduled for January 2024 and while his defense attorneys have tried for a lighter sentence, the victim has refused to assist. Her act of unwillingness to help has been viewed by some as the opposite of the traditional spirit of support and forgiveness often expected of educators, while others are praising her adamant position. This week, we're talking about the case and the growing threat of violence against teachers and staff in our schools.
