No matter if the tumbler is being spotted or unassisted they should be using the best technique possible. Breaking down skills thoroughly before they are attempted can give coaches an early sign on what parts the tumbler may struggle with. There should be as little trial & error as possible to minimize risk of injury. While there will be errors & mistakes they should be made with the best effort to do things the best way possible.
