Keratinocytes and neuronal cells
Time-lapse phase contrast microscopy of keratinocytes and neuronal cells. Images were acquired on an Olympus IX3 inverted microscope every 108 seconds over a period of 38hr using 10X objective. The gap between the two cell types is obviously seen shrinking and eventually disappearing as a result of the keratinocytes proliferating at a much faster rate than the neuronal cells.
