28 years ago, Alfred Kamicha was a Quantity Surveyor with a prestigious international firm when our Chairman and Founder Emeritus Mr. SBR Shah shared with them a business ambition which would make a historic mark on the Nairobi city skyline. It was not long before they embarked on a project to bring down the old Investment & Mortgages building and bring up the iconic blue glass I&M Bank Tower. Soon after, the firm Alfred worked for closed operations in Nairobi. It was then that he took a bold step and established Sumsconsult, leveraging the social capital he had amassed while in employment to establish his customer base. This paid off and 18 years late, Sumconsult continues to provide QS services to I&M Bank as a valued partner.
