Sami Mikhail, Volunteer RPA Lead at Jersey STEM, explains how Automation Anywhere is powering data automation for an all-volunteer nonprofit organization.

Jersey STEM relies on donated systems for HR, volunteer matching, grants, and operations. The challenge is that these systems do not naturally communicate with each other. Automation Anywhere enables the team to connect siloed systems, gather fragmented data, and centralize it into usable formats, helping the organization move faster and operate more efficiently.

In this review, Sami shares how interns with no prior experience reach advanced-level productivity in about four weeks using Automation Anywhere. Since launching in March, Jersey STEM has deployed four bots into production, with four more preparing to go live — a rapid timeline in the RPA space.

Key highlights include:
• Training interns to productivity in four weeks
• Integrating across Google ecosystem tools and donated systems
• Automating manual data collection and spreadsheet workflows
• Reducing development cycles from 6–8 weeks down to 2–4 weeks
• Avoiding an estimated 40,000 hours of manual labor
• Shifting volunteers from repetitive work to higher-value intellectual work
• Seamless cloud deployment versus legacy on-prem versions
• Built-in scalability, resilience, and simplified architecture

Sami also discusses Automation Anywhere’s cloud deployment model, ease of integration, and scalability for future growth. Compared to other RPA platforms he has used, he cites ease of use, resilience, and a less onerous learning curve as key differentiators.

For Jersey STEM, ROI is measured not in dollars, but in speed: faster access to volunteers, faster access to grants, and faster data-driven decision-making.

Overall rating: 9.5 out of 10.
