As an EPiServer editor I want to change the URL of a page.
Welcome to this video about SEO Manager for EPiServer.
I'm going to show you how SEO Manager handles page URL changes.
On my demo site I have a page with a strange page name. I now want to change it to a more correct URL.
So, let's go into edit mode and change the page URL.
To change the page URL we need to update the field "Page name in web address". In this case I'm changing the page URL from "productz" with a Z to "products" with an S.
Make the change and then click "Save and publish".
When we have published the SEO Manager will automatically update the URL for the page and subpages. Let's go to the URL view and look at the new page URL.
As you can see, the master URL has changed to "/products" with an S.
You can also see that the old URL "/productz" with a Z has been named a previous URL. That means that search engines and visitors will be redirected to the new master URL if they request this old URL.
Let's click on the previous URL to see that it works. Wooohlla it works.
Let's see it again just to be sure.
