So yeah for the second video I disconnected the fuel line after the filter. It took a few crank attempts but finally she got the nice pulsating fuel flow that a cam driven diaphragm pump produces. But before the part 1 vid was shot I noticed my front dashpot had no oil. The piston had no resistance up or down. I added oil and that side issue was solved. In this video I'm thinking disconnecting the fuel line removed the restriction of the carb inlet valves. So whatever sediment was clogging my filter, the increased fuel pump force blew it right out. It is probably some rust in the lines or from my tank - future project. But after she started, she idled nicely, the F.A.S.D. kicked off and idle came down nicely. Went for a nice drive to the local cruise night as a test. So much fun to drive !! Happy Motoring!
