How to force remap bad sectors
Physical bad sectors cannot be fixed because it's a defect on the platter surface of the disk, called on Gsmartcontrol "offline Uncorrectable sector" from the name suggest, it cannot be repaired even during uninterrupted surface scan (interrupted by an operating system or any other software), the system board of the hard drive is programmed to do a routine scan when the disk doesn't receive any operation for a certain period.
But instead, HDD can reallocate successfully some pended sectors with physical or logical defect.
Here how to force the replacement, rather than waiting for an offline surface scan.
The remap doesn't affect data .
DO NOT TOUCH "erasing sectors or whole drive" IF YOU ARE NOT SURE BECAUSE Vivard DOESN'T GIVE ANY CONFIRMATION DIALOG AFTER INSERTION OF THE LBA NUMBER (Logical Block Addressing) !
