All Good Things Must Come to an End
S05 E89 Could this be our final journey in our Sealine S34, Friday Night? As with many things in life, circumstances change and although Friday Night has had significant upgrades over the last year - is this the type of boating working for us still?
At present we have made no plans, but certainly the boat has not been used as much over the past few years as it needs to be, and getting there is not an easy journey. Although we are based on the #norfolkbroads there is the constant, and rising question, of rapidly increasing tolls and indiscriminate damage. So, do we change our cruising grounds again? Or do we look to a new style of boating, or even a new hobby?
This isn't the sort of decision that we ever thought we would have to consider, but as another season draws to a close, this, we are very sorry to say, is most likely to be, one of our very last journeys aboard our wonderful boat.
In the episode we have #dieselengine #problems as the diesel supply to one of our engines stopped due to a clogged diesel filter and bio growth from diesel we had recently purchased #dieselbug. We have, recently new tanks, always religiously treated our fuel, but had purchased a significant quantity from one of the new, above ground, polypropylene type bunds which are prone to condensation we have learnt - and most likely non-marine fuel with high ethanol content (Not FAME free type marine grade fuel).. Oh well, never again! a couple of expensive #fleetguard and #volvo filters later and swapping our supply got us back home, but the plans for further travel really did stop there.
Although we still have a little more content to upload, we thank you for joining us over the past 5 years and thank all of you for your positive and heart felt comments.
