This a hook that is more prone to rusting that most available hooks, i put 3 of them in saltwater for 11 months while adding fresh saltwater regularly and agitating the water almost daily, this is the result of that test, the hook was rusty sure, but i was able to re sharpen the third hook and catch a 6 foot gar with it. Dont say things without actually testing them or having real world knowledge on the info, just spouting off the same things you have heard is weird, stop.
