THE FIRST METRO
The first subway in history was built in London, which is not surprising since Great Britain was at the forefront of the first industrial revolution. The construction of the first subway stemmed from a logical observation: due to a lack of space above ground, new train lines would have to be built underground. Since then, these underground trains have spread throughout the world and transport millions of passengers every day.
