How to speed up Windows 10
The absolute guide for Windows 10 and system optimizing! Maximize your system's response, productivity and boost your gaming experience, simply by following thosse methods below:
1. Disable startup programs (Right click on Taskbar - Task Manager - Startup tab)
2. Uninstall unwanted programs
2a. (Control Panel - Programs - Uninstall a program)
2b. Use IObit Uninstaller (download link at the bottom)
3. Disc cleanup
3a. (Windows Search - type ''disc cleanup")
3b. Use CCleaner (download link at the bottom)
4. Disc Defrag
4a. (Windows Search - type "disc defrag")
4b. Use Smart Defrag (download link at the bottom)
5. Driver Update with Driver Booster (download link at the bottom)
6. Disable Animations (My Computer - Right click on empty space and choose Properties - Advanced system settings - Settings, under Performance category). Leave only the following animations enbled:
Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing
Show thumbnails instead of icons
Smooth edges of screen fonts
Smooth - scroll list boxes
7. Optimize boot settings (Windows Search - type System Configuration - Boot tab - Set Timeout to 3 seconds - Advanced options - Set the highest number of processors)
8. Disable Unnecessary services. You can safely disable those services listed below:
Auto Time Zone Updater
Connected User Experience and Telemetry
Distributed Link Tracking Client
dmwwappushsvc
All Smart Card services
Xbox Services (except Xbox Game Monitoring, it can't be disabled)
9. Disable Windows Sounds (Right click on speaker icon - Playback or Recording devices - Sounds tab - Sound Scheme - No Sounds)
10. Turn Off Background Apps (Start Menu - Settings - Privacy - Background Apps - Let apps run in the background - Off)
BONUS TWEAKS:
Open ''My Computer - Right click on white space - Properties - Advanced System Settings - Environment Variables - User Variables
Click on ''New'' and add:
Variable name - Hard_Disc_64k_Batch
Variable value - 64_K=30_Picoseconds
Click on "New" again and add:
Variable name - RAM_64k_Batch
Variable value - 64_K=70_Picoseconds
NOTE: Those bonus tweaks have nothing to do with overclocking. They just give a decent boost to your hard disc and RAM.
You are done! Your system should be run fast and smoothly!
