Pata Tim with Banana Blossom
Pata Tim has a sweet sauce. The sweetness of its sauce goes well with rice that you'll end up asking for seconds.
Ingredients:
1 kg pork hock
3 tbsp cooking oil
3 cups water or more if necessary
4 cloves garlic
2 star anise
2 bay leaves
1 tbsp peppercorn
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/8 cup soy sauce
1/8 cup oyster sauce
1/8 cup rice wine or cooking wine
1/2 cup banana blossom, soaked in water
cornstarch slurry (mix 1 tbsp constarch and 1 tbsp water)
